INGREDIENTS
Half cup mango butter
1/4 coconut oil
1/4 jojoba oil, olive oil or grape seed oil
1tbsp arrowroot powder
1tsp lavender essential oil( optional)
You will also need a large bowl filled with ice, a small bowl to place in the ice ( this will contain the body butter mixture) a beater and a jar to store the body butter.
METHOD
-Melt mango butter and coconut oil in a double boiler.
-While melting, mix 1tbsp of arrowroot powder with 2tbsp of jojoba oil, olive oil or grape seed oil ( whichever one you choose to use). Mix until a paste formed.
-Once mango butter and coconut oil have melted, remove from heat and add the arrowroot oil mixture and also the rest of oil. Stir to combine.
-Let it cool briefly and set up the ice bowl ( large bowl filled with ice and place a smaller bowl on top of the ice so the ice come around the bowl).
-Pour the butter mixture into the smaller bowl and leave to cool for 10 minutes. If mixture is not forming up after 10 minutes, leave to stay longer or place in the fridge. Just to be sure to watch closely as it will be near impossible to whip when it is harden.
-When mixture is beginning to set, add essential oil and start whipping till it's fluffy.
-Your Mango body butter is ready, scoop in container.
